On July 14–15, 2022, the development plan for Issyk-Kul tourism and the concept of geoparks were discussed.

From December 12 to 16, 2022, public hearings on the SESA were held in the Issyk-Kul region as part of the CARs-3 project. Focus groups were also held with women leaders and public servants from the Ak-Suu district.
