Large-Scale Greening: 20,000 New Trees in Kuturgu Village

The Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic continues the implementation of the "Green Muras" national environmental initiative across the country's key infrastructure assets.

As part of the Korumdu – Balbai Baatyr highway reconstruction project (km 104 – km 184.5), a major greening phase was carried out at km 168+000 in Kuturgu village, Tyup district. In cooperation with the general contractor, 20,000 young saplings were planted across an area of over 20 hectares. To date, the total volume of planting along this highway section has reached approximately 36,000 trees.

United Group is directly involved in the delivery of this strategic project, serving as the Sub-consultant for Construction Supervision. Our company's scope of work includes overseeing the quality of upgrading 79.3 km of the highway to Category II, reconstructing 13 bridges and 219 culverts, as well as conducting strict safety audits and monitoring compliance with the Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP).

The ongoing environmental campaign in the Issyk-Kul region highlights how United Group’s engineering supervision successfully integrates construction quality with the preservation of the region's fragile ecosystem.
