The Spanish consulting company "THR Asesores en Turismo, Hotelería y Recreación, S.A." in collaboration with the Georgian consulting company "TBSC Consulting" and the Turkish consulting company "United Group Teknik Danismanlik Limited Sirketi," with the support of the World Bank’s GPR Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Department of Tourism of the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports, and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic, organized roundtable discussions as part of the first project "Third Phase of the Central Asia regional links program" (CARs-3), Tourism component. The project, financed by the World Bank, focused on the development of a Sustainable Tourism Strategy and Master Plan, including the preparation of two local development plans for the Ak-Suu and Tyup districts (the concept of geopark development) in the Issyk-Kul region, as well as a Strategic Environmental and Social Assessment (SESA). Over 100 interested participants took part in the discussions.
The aim of the roundtable was to familiarize participants with the goals of the aforementioned project.
