A hybrid meeting with the World Bank mission on the development of the strategy and Master Plan for sustainable tourism development in the Issyk-Kul region, as well as participation in the International Tourism Investment Forum in Issyk-Kul in 2024.

At the initiative of the World Bank, a meeting was held at the Department of Tourism under the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic, where issues related to the development of the strategy and Master Plan for sustainable development of the Issyk-Kul region, the pilot implementation of tourism satellite accounts in the region, and participation in the International Tourism Investment Forum to be held in the Issyk-Kul region in 2024 were discussed.

The mission included representatives of the World Bank, the working group established for the sustainable development of tourism in the Issyk-Kul region, as well as officials from relevant ministries and agencies. In addition, the World Bank will send a special mission to Kyrgyzstan to meet with the Deputy Director of the Department of Tourism at the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic, Mrs. K. Kenzhematova.

During the meeting, the parties discussed further steps to strengthen cooperation in the tourism sector.
